Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security Amendment (Volunteers) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 24th September 2001.

Section 2 Income support, jobseeker’s allowance, housing benefit and council tax benefit: disregard of expenses

(1) In each of the provisions specified in paragraph (2) below (which relate to sums to be disregarded in the calculation of income other than earnings), after the word “incurred”, there shall be inserted the words “ , or to be incurred, ” .

(2) The provisions specified for the purposes of paragraph (1) above are—

(a) paragraph 2 of Schedule 4 to the Council Tax Benefit (General) Regulations 1992 ;

(b) paragraph 2 of Schedule 4 to the Housing Benefit (General) Regulations 1987 ;

(c) paragraph 2 of Schedule 9 to the Income Support (General) Regulations 1987 ;

(d) paragraph 2 of Schedule 7 to the Jobseeker’s Allowance Regulations 1996 .
