Section 1Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Batteries and Accumulators (Containing Dangerous Substances) (Amendment) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 31st August 2001.

(2) These Regulations extend to Great Britain.

Section 2Further amendment of the Batteries and Accumulators (Containing Dangerous Substances) Regulations 1994

The Batteries and Accumulators (Containing Dangerous Substances) Regulations 1994 are further amended in regulation 4 as follows:—
(a) in paragraph (1), the words “and subject to paragraph (3) below” are omitted; and
(b) the whole of paragraph (3) is omitted.
