Section 1 Title, extent and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Export of Vehicles) (Disinfection of Tyres) (Amendment) (No. 6) Regulations 2001; they extend to the United Kingdom and shall come into force at 11.45 p.m. on 20th July 2001.

Section 2 Amendment to the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Export of Vehicles) (Disinfection of Tyres) Regulations 2001

(1) The Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Export of Vehicles) (Disinfection of Tyres) Regulations 2001 are amended in accordance with this regulation.

(2) In regulation 1(2) of those Regulations, for “20th July 2001” substitute “30th September 2001”.

(3) In regulation 2(1) of those Regulations, for the definition of “the Decision” substitute—

“the Decision” means Commission Decision 2001/356/ EC concerning certain protection measures with regard to foot-and-mouth disease in the United Kingdom and repealing Decision 2001/172/EC , as last amended by Commission Decision 2001/547/EC ;
