Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2001.

(2) In this Order, “the 2001 Act ” means the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001.

Section 2

The following provisions of the 2001 Act shall come into force on 1st October 2001:

(a) sections 71 and 72 (arrestable offences);

(b) section 97 (regulations for police forces), except paragraph (a) of sub section (4);

(c) section 100 (orders and regulations); and

(d) paragraph 26 of Schedule 2 (amendment to Financial Services and Markets Act 2000) .
