Section 1 Citation and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2001.

(2) In this Order “ the Act ” means the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000.

Section 2 Provisions coming into force on 30th October 2001

The following provisions of the Act shall come into force on 30th October 2001—

(a) sections 6(1)(d) and 15;

(b) section 14, insofar as it relates to the Boundary Committee for England; and

(c) section 18, insofar as not already in force.

Section 3 Provisions coming into force on 1st January 2002

Sections 41 to 49 of, and Schedule 5 to, the Act shall come into force on 1st January 2002.

Section 4 Provision coming into force on 1st April 2002

Section 141 of the Act shall come into force on 1st April 2002.
