The Rail Vehicle Accessibility (Gatwick Express Class 460 Vehicles) Exemption (Amendment) Order 2001

Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Rail Vehicle Accessibility (Gatwick Express Class 460 Vehicles) Exemption (Amendment) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 1st January 2002.

Section 2 Amendment

The Rail Vehicle Accessibility (Gatwick Express Class 460 Vehicles) Exemption Order 2001 (“the principal Order”) shall be amended in accordance with articles 3 and 4.

Section 3 Amendment

After article 4(2) of the principal Order there shall be inserted—

(2A) The exemption given by paragraph (2)(a) above in relation to regulation 4(2) is given on the condition that the operator provides, so far as is practicable, a person who is available on the platform to assist a blind or partially sighted person.

Section 4 Amendment

In article 5(1) of the principal Order for “31st December 2001” there shall be substituted “28th April 2011”.
