Section 1
This Order may be cited as the Northern Ireland (Date of the Next Assembly Poll) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 20th March 2003.

The Northern Ireland (Date of Next Assembly Poll) Order 2001
Section 2
It is hereby directed that the date of the poll for the election of the next Assembly shall, instead of being determined in accordance with section 31 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998, be the date proposed by the Secretary of State under section 32(3) of that Act, namely 1st May 2003.
Section 3
The Assembly shall be dissolved on 21st March 2003.
