Section 1Citation, commencement, extent and interpretation
(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (General Medical Services) Amendment Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 1st April 2001.
(2) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations ” means the National Health Service (General Medical Services) Regulations 1992 .
(3) These Regulations extend only to England.
Section 2Amendment of Schedule 2 to the principal Regulations
(1) In paragraph 43 of Schedule 2 to the principal Regulations (prescribing), in sub-paragraph (3) for “drugs specified in Schedule 2” substitute—
the drug buprenorphine or a drug specified in Schedule 2
