Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Bursaries for School Teacher Training Pilot Scheme) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 30th March 2001.

Section 2

The Education (Bursaries for School Teacher Training Pilot Scheme) (England) Regulations 2000 shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of these Regulations.

Section 3

In regulation 2 after the definition of “non-maintained special school” there shall be inserted the following definition—

“qualified teacher” has the meaning given to that expression by section 218(2) of the Education Reform Act 1988 .

Section 4

In regulation 6(1) for the words “31st March 2001” there shall be substituted the words “31st August 2001”.
