Section 1 Citation and commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the District of Babergh (Electoral Changes) (Amendment) Order 2002.

(2) This Order shall come into force on the day after that on which it is made.

Section 2 Amendment to the 2001 Order

(1) The District of Babergh (Electoral Changes) Order 2001 shall be amended as follows.

(2) In column 1 of the Schedule to the Order—

(a) for the words “Brent Vale” there shall be substituted “Brett Vale”; and

(b) for the words “Lower Brent” there shall be substituted “Lower Brett”.

(3) In column 2 of the Schedule to the Order—

(a) for the word “Sutton” (in the entry relating to the ward of Alton), there shall be substituted “Stutton”; and

(b) for the words “The parishes of Lavenham” (in the entry relating to the ward of Lavenham) there shall be substituted “The parish of Lavenham”.
