Section 1 Citation, commencement and application

(1) This Order may be cited as the Greater London Authority (Declaration of Acceptance of Office) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 6th May 2002.

(2) This Order applies to the Greater London Authority only.

Section 2 Form of declaration of acceptance of office

The declaration of acceptance of the office of—

(a) Mayor;

(b) Assembly member; and

(c) acting Mayor by virtue of being Deputy mayor,

shall be in the form in the Schedule to this Order or a form to the like effect.

Section 3 Revocation of the Greater London Authority (Elections and Acceptance of Office) Order 2000

The Greater London Authority (Elections and Acceptance of Office) Order 2000 shall be revoked.

Section 4 Amendment to the Local Authorities (Model Code of Conduct) (England) Order 2001

(1) In article 4(1) of the Local Authorities (Model Code of Conduct) (England) Order 2001 , sub-paragraph (g) shall be omitted.
