Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Air Navigation (Jersey) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 24th April 2002.

Section 2

The Schedule to the Air Navigation (Jersey) Order 2000 (which modifies provisions of the Air Navigation (No. 2) Order 1995 as they extend to Jersey) shall be amended by inserting the following new paragraph after paragraph 57:—

(57A) In Schedule 9 (Air Traffic Controllers-Ratings), for paragraph 2(3) substitute—

(3) An Approach Radar Control Rating shall, subject to article 81(4) of this Order, entitle the holder of the licence to act as an air traffic controller in the course of the provision of an approach control service, with the aid of any type of surveillance radar equipment either within the Channel Islands Control Zone or outside that Zone, in accordance with the provisions of any agreement in that respect made between the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority or the Direction Générale d'Aviation Civile of the Republic of France and the Committee.
