Section 1Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Police Authorities (Selection Panel) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 10th June 2002.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales only.

Section 2Interpretation

In these Regulations “the 1994 Regulations ” means the Police Authorities (Selection Panel) Regulations 1994 .

Section 3Amendments to the 1994 Regulations

In regulation 4(2)(d)(i) of the 1994 Regulations the words “and (except in the case of the Metropolitan Police Authority) under 70” shall be omitted.

Section 4Amendments to the 1994 Regulations

In regulation 6(5) of the 1994 Regulations the following sub-paragraph shall be inserted in the appropriate place:

(ba) the member of the panel who is not present has died; or
