Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Primary Care Trusts (Establishment) Amendment Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st April 2002.

Section 2 Amendment of Primary Care Trust (Establishment) Orders

(1) Each of the Primary Care Trust (Establishment) Orders listed in the Schedule shall be amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph (2) of Article 1 (citation, commencement and interpretation)—

(a) the definition of “Executive Committee” shall be omitted;

(b) for the definition of “member”, “officer member” and “non-officer member” there shall be substituted—

“member” has the meaning given in regulation 1(2) of the Membership Regulations;

(3) Article 4 (members of the trust) shall be omitted.
