Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Income Support (General) and Jobseeker’s Allowance Amendment Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 17th June 2002.

Section 2 Amendment of the Income Support (General) Regulations 1987 and of the Jobseeker’s Allowance Regulations 1996

In paragraph (b) of the definition of “self-employment route” in both regulation 2(1) of the Income Support (General) Regulations 1987 and regulation 1(3) of the Jobseeker’s Allowance Regulations 1996 (interpretation)—

(a) at the end of both sub-paragraphs (ii) and (iii), the word “or” shall be omitted;

(b) at the end of sub-paragraph (iv), there shall be added the following—

or

(v) the New Deal for Lone Parents ;
