Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2002. Regulations 2, 3 and 5 shall come into force on 1 July 2002 and for the purpose of Regulation 4 shall come into force on 1st August 2002.

Section 2 Amendment to Regulation 61A

(1) Regulation 61A of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 shall be amended by the insertion in the third column of the Table the entry specified below.

(2) In item 2, after the last entry there shall be inserted

Section 3 Amendment to Schedule 2

In Table 1 in Schedule 2, after item 81 there shall be inserted the following item—

Section 4 Amendment to Schedule 7B (emissions from certain motor vehicles)

In Schedule 7B, in paragraph 7, for sub-paragraph (b) there shall be substituted the following sub-paragraph—

(b) “the emissions publication” is the publication entitled ‘In-Service Exhaust Emission Standards for Road Vehicles-Eighth Edition’ ( ISBN 0-9526457-7-7) published by the Department for Transport, Local Government and the Regions.

Section 5 Amendment of Regulation 15 (braking systems of certain vehicles first used on or after 1st April 1983)

In paragraph (1E) of Regulation 15, for the word “April” there shall be substituted “May”.
