Section 1Citation and commencement
The Order may be cited as the Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Interception of Communications: Code of Practice) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st July 2002.

Section 2Interception of Communications Code of Practice
The draft code of practice entitled “Interception of Communications”, laid before each House of Parliament on 8th May 2002, relating to the interception of communications under Chapter I of Part I of the 2000 Act, shall come into force on 1st July 2002.
