Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Public Service Vehicles (Registration of Local Services) (Amendment) (England and Wales) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 1st March 2002.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales only .

Section 2 Amendment of the principal regulations

(1) The Public Service Vehicles (Registration of Local Services) Regulations 1986 shall be amended as follows.

(2) In Regulation 5(1)(a) for “42 days” substitute “56 days”.

(3) Regulation 9(2)(c) is revoked.

Section 3 Transitional provisions

Regulation 2(2) shall not apply in relation to any registration, or any application to vary or cancel a registration, in respect of which an application is made before the date of the coming into force of these Regulations.
