Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Mandatory Awards) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 1st September 2002.

Section 2

The Education (Mandatory Awards) Regulations 2002 shall be amended in accordance with these Regulations.

Section 3

In paragraph 2(1) of Schedule 3 for “subject to paragraph (2)” substitute “subject to paragraph (3)”.

Section 4

(1) Schedule 5 (Sandwich Courses) shall be amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph 1(1)(e) omit “a necessary”.

(3) For paragraph (1)(1)(g)(i) substitute—

(i) a Health Authority or a Strategic Health Authority established pursuant to section 8 of the National Health Service Act 1977 or a Special Health Authority established pursuant to section 11 of that Act ;
