Section 1 Citation and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Employment Act 2002 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2002.

(2) In this Order, any reference to a numbered section or Schedule is a reference to the section or Schedule bearing that number in the Employment Act 2002.

Section 2 Appointed day

The day appointed for the coming into force of—

(a) section 50 and Schedule 6 (use of information for, or relating to, employment and training);

(b) paragraphs 8, 16 and 17 of Schedule 7 and section 53 so far as it relates to those paragraphs;

(c) section 54 and Part (1) of Schedule 8 to the extent that they repeal the provisions specified in the Schedule to this Order;

(d) section 54 and Part (2) of Schedule 8 to the extent that they revoke paragraph 7 of Schedule 1 to the Social Security Administration (Fraud) (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 ,

shall be 9th September 2002.
