This Order may be cited as the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 (Accommodation for Asylum-Seekers) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 30th September 2002.

The Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 (Accommodation for Asylum-Seekers) Order 2002
In this Order “Scottish secure tenancy” has the same meaning as in the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 .
(1) A tenancy shall not be a Scottish secure tenancy if it is granted in order to provide accommodation under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 (support for asylum-seekers).
(2) A tenancy mentioned in paragraph (1) becomes a Scottish secure tenancy if the landlord notifies the tenant that it is to be regarded as a Scottish secure tenancy.
