Section 1Citation and commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the Transfer of Functions (Civil Defence) Order 2002.

(2) This Order shall come into force on 25th November 2002.

Section 2Civil Defence Act 1948

A function of the Secretary of State which arises by virtue of the proviso to section 9(2) of the Civil Defence Act 1948 (ministerial responsibility) shall be exercisable concurrently with the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.
