Section 1Citation and commencement
(1) This Order may be cited as the Borough of Burnley (Electoral Changes) (Amendment) Order 2002.
(2) This Order shall come into force on the day after that on which it is made.

Section 2Amendment to the 2001 Order
(1) The Borough of Burnley (Electoral Changes) Order 2001 shall be amended as follows.
(2) In article 3, there shall be inserted after the end of (3), and before the beginning of (4), the following:
(3A) Of the councillors elected in 2002 for any ward of the borough, one shall retire in 2003, one in 2004 and one in 2006.
