Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Student Support) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 3rd January 2003.

Section 2 Citation and commencement

The Education (Student Support) Regulations 2002 shall be amended in accordance with these Regulations.

Section 3 Amendments to the Regulations

(1) Regulation 15 shall be amended as follows—

(2) In paragraph (13)—

(a) at the end of sub-paragraph (f) for “of that Act,” substitute “of that Act; and;”; and

(b) after sub-paragraph (f) insert—

(g) any child tax credit to which he is entitled under Part I of the Tax Credits Act 2002 .

Section 4 Amendments to the Regulations

(1) Regulation 17 shall be amended as follows.

(2) In paragraphs (1) and (3) for “a city technology college or a city college for the technology of the arts or a city academy” substitute “an Academy ”.

Section 5 Amendments to the Regulations

(1) Schedule 3 shall be amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph 1(1) for sub-paragraph (r) substitute—

(r) income support or working families' tax credit under Part VII of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992 or any child tax credit or working tax credit under Part I of the Tax Credits Act 2002;
