Section 1Citation, commencement, extent and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (England) (Pilot Schemes: Miscellaneous Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Amendment Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 1st April 2002.

(2) These Regulations extend to England only.

(3) In these Regulations the “ principal Regulations ” means the National Health Service (Pilot Schemes: Miscellaneous Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Regulations 1998 .

Section 2Amendment of principal Regulations

In regulation 5 of the principal Regulations (persons who may perform personal medical services), in paragraph (2)—

(a) omit “and” at the end of sub-paragraph (a);

(b) after sub-paragraph (b) add—

(c) a person who has an acquired right to practise as a general medical practitioner under regulation 5(1)(d) of the Vocational Training for General Medical Practice (European Requirements) Regulations 1994 .
