Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Civil Legal Aid (General) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 8th April 2002.

Section 2 Interpretation

In these Regulations a reference to a regulation by number alone means the regulation so numbered in the Civil Legal Aid (General) Regulations 1989 .

Section 3 Amendments to the Civil Legal Aid (General) Regulations 1989

The following shall be inserted after regulation 51(f):

or

(g) it has become desirable to amend, impose or remove a limitation or condition on the certificate.

Section 4 Amendments to the Civil Legal Aid (General) Regulations 1989

The following shall be inserted after regulation 81(3):

(4) Where notice is served under paragraph (1)(a), no further work may be done or steps taken under the certificate unless authorised by the Area Director.
