Section 1 Citation, commencement and application

(1) This Order may be cited as the Local Authorities (Access to Meetings and Documents) (Period of Notice) (England) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st October 2002.

(2) This Order applies in relation to local authorities in England.

Section 2 Admission to meetings of principal councils

In subsection (6)(a) of section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972 (admission to meetings of principal councils) for “three clear days”, substitute “five clear days”.

Section 3 Access to agenda and connected reports

In section 100B of the Local Government Act 1972 (access to agenda and connected reports), in—

(a) subsection (3); and

(b) subsection (4)(a),

for “three clear days”, in each case, substitute “five clear days”.
