Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on the 21st March 2002.

(2) These Regulations extend to England only.

Section 2 Amendment of the Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations 1997

(1) Schedule 2 (recovery and recycling obligations) to the Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations 1997 is amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph 4 for “and (c); for any subsequent year, 56%;” substitute

(c) for the year 2001, 56%; and (d) for any subsequent year, 59%.

(3) In paragraph 5 for “and (c); for any subsequent year, 18%;”, substitute

(c) for the year 2001, 18%; and (d) for any subsequent year, 19%.
