Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Rules may be cited as the Distress for Rent (Amendment) Rules 2003 and shall come into force on 15th August 2003.

Section 2 Amendments to Distress for Rent Rules 1988

Appendix 1 to the Distress for Rent Rules 1988 shall be amended as follows—

(a) in paragraph 1, for “£12.50” substitute “£21.65”;

(b) in paragraph 3—

(i) for “man” wherever it occurs, substitute “person”;

(ii) for “£4.50” substitute “£7.80”; and

(iii) for “45p” substitute “80p”;

(c) in paragraphs 2, 4, 5 and 7 for “taxation”, substitute “detailed assessment”.

Section 3 Amendments to Distress for Rent Rules 1988

In Form 8 in Appendix 2 to the Distress for Rent Rules 1988, for “man” wherever it occurs substitute “person”.
