Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Income Support (General) Amendment Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 6th October 2003 immediately after the coming into force of regulation 29 of the State Pension Credit (Consequential, Transitional and Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 2002 .

Section 2 Amendment of the Income Support (General) Regulations 1987

(1) Schedule 2 to the Income Support (General) Regulations 1987 (applicable amounts) shall be amended in accordance with this regulation.

(2) In paragraph 10(1)(b)(i) (higher pensioner premium) for “paragraph 12(1)(a) or (c)” there shall be substituted “paragraph 12(1)(a), (c) or (d)” .

(3) In paragraph 11 (disability premium) in—

(a) sub-paragraph (b)(i) for “paragraph 12(1)(a), (b) or (c)” there shall be substituted “paragraph 12(1)(a), (b), (c) or (d)”; and

(b) sub-paragraph (b)(ii) for “paragraph 12(1)(a) or (c)” there shall be substituted “paragraph 12(1)(a), (c) or (d)”.

(4) In paragraph 12 (additional condition for the higher pensioner and disability premium) in—

(a) sub-paragraph (4) for “sub-paragraph (1)(c)” in each place where that phrase appears there shall be substituted “sub-paragraph (1)(c) and (d)”; and

(b) sub-paragraph (6) for “sub-paragraph (1)(a)(i) and (c)(i)” there shall be substituted “sub-paragraph (1)(a)(i) and (c)”.
