Section 1
This Order may be cited as the Registered Health Care Profession (Designation) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 1st November 2003.

Section 2
The profession of paramedics, being a profession mentioned in section 60(2) of the Health Act 1999 , by virtue of being regulated by the Health Professions Order 2001 is hereby designated as a health care profession for the purposes of the definition of “registered health care professional” in section 65(1) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984.
