Section 1
This Order may be cited as the Registered Health Care Profession (Designation No. 2) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 1st November 2003.

The Registered Health Care Profession (Designation No. 2) Order 2003
Section 2
The profession of paramedics, being a profession mentioned in section 60(2) of the Health Act 1999 , by virtue of being regulated by the Health Professions Order 2001 is hereby designated as a health care profession for the purposes of—
(a) the definition of “registered health care professional” in section 11(2) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and section 38(2A) of the Transport and Works Act 1992; and
(b) the definition of “health care professional” in section 31(9A) of the Transport and Works Act 1992.
