Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Police Pensions (Additional Voluntary Contributions) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 15th November 2003.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.

Section 2 Amendments to the Police Pensions (Additional Voluntary Contributions) Regulations 1991

(1) Regulation 17 of the Police Pensions (Additional Voluntary Contributions) Regulations 1991 shall be amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph (1)(a) for the words “within the meaning of the Police Act 1964” there shall be substituted “maintained under section 2 of the Police Act 1996, the metropolitan police force, the City of London police, the Director General of the National Crime Squad, the Director General of the National Criminal Intelligence Service, a police member of the National Crime Squad appointed under section 55(1)(b) of the Police Act 1997 or a police member of the National Criminal Intelligence Service appointed under section 9(1)(b) of the Police Act 1997 ”.
