Section 1Citation and commencement

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Nursery Education and Early Years Development) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2003.
(2) These Regulations except for regulation 2(3) shall come into force on 1st January 2004.
(3) Regulation 2(3) shall come into force on 1st April 2004.

Section 2Amendment of the Education (Nursery Education and Early Years Development) (England) Regulations 1999

(1) The Education (Nursery Education and Early Years Development) (England) Regulations 1999 shall be amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 1(3) the definitions of “the partnership” and “statement of proposals” shall be omitted.
(3) In regulation 2(1)(a) and (b) for “fourth birthday” (in each case where the words occur) substitute “third birthday”.
(4) Regulation 3 and the Schedule shall be omitted.
(5) Regulation 4 shall be omitted.

Section 3Revocation of the Education (Nursery Education and Early Years Development) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2002

The Education (Nursery Education and Early Years Development) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 are revoked.
