Section 1Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Liability of Shipowners and Others) (Rate of Interest) (Amendment) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 31st December 2003.

Section 2Amendment of period for payment of rate of interest at the prescribed rate
The Merchant Shipping (Liability of Shipowners and Others) (Rate of Interest) Order 1999 is amended by—
(a) at article 3(a)(iv), after “1st September 1999”, inserting “until 30th December 2003”; and
(b) at article 3(b), after “1st September 1999”, inserting “but before 31st December 2003.”
