Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999 (Commencement No. 8) Order 2003.

(2) This Order extends to England and Wales.

Section 2

The following provisions of the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999 shall come into force on 1st April 2003:

(a) section 58 (inferences from silence not permissible where no prior access to legal advice) to the extent not already in force;

(b) section 67(4) to the extent it relates to the entry (c) below; and

(c) paragraph 8 of Schedule 7.
