The Football Spectators (European Championship Control Period) Order 2004

Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Football Spectators (European Championship Control Period) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 1st May 2004.

Section 2

(1) In relation to the external tournament known as the UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) European Championship 2004 tournament in Portugal, the period described in paragraph (2) below is a control period for the purposes of Part II of the Football Spectators Act 1989.

(2) The period referred to in paragraph (1) above is the period beginning on 7th June 2004, being five days before the day of the first football match which is included in the tournament, and ending when the last match included in the tournament is finished (which, subject to postponement, is due to be on 4th July 2004) or cancelled.
