Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Community Legal Service (Scope) Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 1st April 2004.

Section 2

In paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the Access to Justice Act 1999 —

(a) in sub-paragraph (g), delete “or”;

(b) in sub-paragraph (h), for “business.” substitute “business, or”

(c) after sub-paragraph (h), insert—

(i) attending an interview conducted on behalf of the Secretary of State with a view to his reaching a decision on a claim for asylum (as defined by section 167(1) of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 ).
