Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Child Benefit and Guardian’s Allowance (Administration) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 1st May 2004.

Section 2 Amendment of the Child Benefit and Guardian’s Allowance (Administration) Regulations 2003

At the end of regulation 7 of the Child Benefit and Guardian’s Allowance (Administration) Regulations 2003 (evidence and information) add—

(3) If a person is required, by virtue of paragraph (1) to furnish a certificate of a child’s birth or adoption, the certificate so produced must be either an original certificate or a copy authenticated in such manner as would render it admissible in proceedings in any court in the jurisdiction in which the copy was made.
