Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Police Reform Act 2002 (Commencement No. 9) Order 2004.

Section 2

The following provisions of the Police Reform Act 2002 shall come into force on 1st June 2004—

(a) section 30 (resignation in the interests of efficiency and effectiveness);

(b) section 31 (procedural requirements for removal of senior officers);

(c) section 32 (suspension of senior officers);

(d) section 33 (removal etc. of senior officers at the instance of the Secretary of State);

(e) section 107(2) (consequential amendments and repeals) in so far as it relates to the entry in Schedule 8 referred to in paragraph (f) below; and

(f) in Schedule 8 (repeals), the entry relating to section 42(5) of the Police Act 1996 .
