Section 1 Citation, commencement, interpretation and application

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Local Authority (Overview and Scrutiny Committees Health Scrutiny Functions) Amendment Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 21st June 2004.

(2) These Regulations apply to England only.

(3) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations ” means the Local Authority (Overview and Scrutiny Committees Health Scrutiny Functions) Regulations 2002 .

Section 2 Amendment of the principal Regulations

(1) Regulation 1(3) of the principal Regulations (interpretation) is amended as follows.

(2) In the definition of “local authority”, in both paragraphs (a) and (b) respectively, after “applies”, for “and” there is substituted “,”; and after “London” there is inserted “and the Council of the Isles of Scilly ”.
