Licensing Act 2003 (First appointed day and personal licences transitional period) Order 2004

Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Licensing Act 2003 (First appointed day and personal licences transitional period) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 1st August 2004.

(2) In this Order—

“ the Act ” means the Licensing Act 2003;

“Schedule 8” means Schedule 8 to the Act.

Section 2 First appointed day

For the purposes of Part 1 (premises licences) and Part 2 (club premises certificates) of Schedule 8, the “first appointed day” shall be 7th February 2005.

Section 3 Personal licences transitional period

For the purposes of Part 3 of Schedule 8 (personal licences), the “transitional period” shall be the period commencing on 7th February 2005 and ending on 6th August 2005.
