Section 1
This Order may be cited as the Maximum Number of Judges (Northern Ireland) Order 2004 and shall come into force on the day after that on which it is made.

Section 2
In section 2(1) of the Judicature (Northern Ireland) Act 1978 (the High Court) for the words “not more than nine puisne judges” there shall be substituted the words “not more than ten puisne judges” and accordingly the Maximum Number of Judges (Northern Ireland) Order 2001 is hereby revoked.
