Section 1Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as The Transnational Information and Consultation of Employees Regulations 1999 (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 1 st October 2004.

(2) In these Regulations, “the Principal Regulations ” means The Transnational Information and Consultation of Employees Regulations 1999 .

Section 2Amendments to the Principal Regulations

After paragraph (7) of regulation 41 (restrictions on contracting out: Part VII) of the Principal Regulations insert—

(7A) A person shall be treated as being a qualified lawyer within paragraph (7)(a) if he is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives employed by a solicitors' practice.
