Section 1Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as The Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations 2003 (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 1st October 2004.

(2) In these Regulations, “the Principal Regulations ” means The Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations 2003 .

Section 2Amendments to the Principal Regulations

After sub-paragraph (5) of paragraph 2 of Schedule 4 (validity of contracts, collective agreements and rules of undertakings) to the Principal Regulations insert –

(5A) A person shall be treated as being a qualified lawyer within sub-paragraph (5)(a) if he is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives employed by a solicitors' practice.
