Section 1

This Order may be cited as the General Optical Council (Registration and Enrolment (Amendment) Rules) Order of Council 2004.

Section 2

The General Optical Council (Registration and Enrolment (Amendment) Rules) Order of Council 2003 is hereby revoked with effect from 4th February 2004.

Section 1

These rules may be cited as the Registration and Enrolment (Amendment) Rules 2004.

Section 2

In the Registration and Enrolment Rules 1976 (which in their original form are scheduled to the General Optical Council (Registration and Enrolment Rules) Order of Council 1977 ) the Tables shown in the Appendix shall be substituted by the following:

Fees payable by Ophthalmic and Dispensing Opticians (Rules 20 to 23)

Registration fee:

For applications in respect of a registration period commencing on or after the date upon which these rules come into force but ending on or before 31st March 2004

For applications in respect of a registration period commencing on or after 1st April 2004

Section 3

The Registration and Enrolment (Amendment) Rules 2004 (which will be spent on the coming into force of these Rules) are hereby revoked.

Section 4

These Rules shall come into force on the day after the Privy Council approves them.
