The Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2004

Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2004.

(2) In this Order “the 2001 Act ” means the Private Security Industry Act 2001.

Section 2

Section 3(1) and (2)(a) to (i) of the 2001 Act (conduct prohibited without a licence) shall come into force on 18 th October 2004 in the police areas of—

(a) Leicestershire;

(b) Northamptonshire;

(c) Staffordshire;

(d) Warwickshire;

(e) West Mercia; and

(f) West Midlands.

Section 3

Section 3(1) and (2)(a) to (i) of the 2001 Act (conduct prohibited without a licence) shall come into force on 15 th November 2004 in the police areas of—

(a) Cheshire;

(b) Cumbria;

(c) Greater Manchester;

(d) Lancashire; and

(e) Merseyside.
