Section 1 Citation and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Employment Act 2002 (Commencement No. 8) Order 2004.

(2) In this Order, “ the Act ” means the Employment Act 2002.

Section 2 Commencement

The day appointed for the coming into force of –

(a) paragraph 47(3) of Schedule 7 and section 53 of the Act so far as it relates to that paragraph; and

(b) in Schedule 8 of the Act (repeals), the entries relating to the Employment Rights Act 1996 , the Employment Rights (Dispute Resolution) Act 1998 and the Employment Relations Act 1999 and section 54 so far as it relates to that Schedule,

shall be 1st November 2004.
