Section 1 Title, commencement and application

(1) This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) (England) Order 2004 and comes into force on 1st December 2004.

(2) This Order applies to England only.

Section 2 Amendments to the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978

(1) The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 is amended in relation to England in accordance with the following provisions of this article.

(2) In paragraph (2) of article 6 of the 1978 Order (which specifies the date until which disinfectants subject to transitional provisions remain approved), for “31st August 2003” substitute “28th February 2005”.

(3) For Schedule 1 to the 1978 Order (which lists approved disinfectants) substitute Schedule 1 to this Order.

(4) For Schedule 2 to the 1978 Order (which lists disinfectants subject to transitional provisions) substitute Schedule 2 to this Order.

Section 3 Revocations

The following Orders are revoked—

(a) Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) (England) Order 2003 ;

(b) Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) (England) Order 2001 ;

(c) Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) (England) Order 2000 ;

(d) Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) Order 1999 , to the extent that it relates to England.
