Section 1 Citation, interpretation and application

(1) This Order may be cited as the Care Standards Act 2000 (Commencement No.19) (England) Order 2004.

(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Care Standards Act 2000.

(3) This Order applies to England only.

Section 2 Appointed Days

1st March 2004 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Act, in so far as they relate to the General Social Care Council —

(a) section 56 (the register) in so far as it is not already in force; and

(b) section 55(3)(g) (interpretation) in so far as it relates to that section.
